Establishment of Gas Trading Hub/Exchange

Civil service chronicle subscription To increase natural gas consumption, government is also considering establishment of Gas Trading Hub/ Exchange (GTHE), upsc pattern wherein natural gas can be traded and supplied through market-based mechanism rather than multiple formula driven prices. To take this initiative further, the Oil Industry Development Board had floated a tender pcs exam in December 2017. Simultaneously, for establish­ment and operation of a GTHE, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has advised Petroleum shankar ias academy and Natural Gas Regulatory Board to take steps for framing necessary regulatory framework.
